Our Heritage
How it all Started

The journey of Ghatge & Patil began when Mr. Vasantrao Ghatge who was then a Botany professor at Rajaram College and Mr. J. B Patil was a freight carrier with 2 second-hand trucks transporting goods between Bombay and Kolhapur. One fine day, when the two friends were roaming the streets of Kolhapur, Mr. Ghatge asked if he could borrow a truck from Mr. J. B Patil for carrying his brother's goods. Mr. Patil agreed to help immediately. After completion of the job in the middle of 1944, the idle trucks poked an idea of forming Ghatge Patil Transports Pvt. Ltd.; and ever since that moment, the two never looked back.
Owing to the sheer grit and dedication, the two formed the backbone of the organization which is the flagship company of Ghatge Group with a fleet of over 400 vehicles now.
Ghatge group is a renowned business house for multiple industrial sectors offering transport & courier services with Ghatge Patil Transports Pvt. Ltd. and Tej Couriers, luxury passenger services with Mohan Travels, dealership with Trinity Motors which is our top automobile dealer of Mercedes-Benz in Pune. Before bagging the coveted Mercedes-Benz dealership, the group has MAI HYUNDAI & TATA Motors with Chetan Motors under it's wing in the heart of Kolhapur City. Our biggest asset, our fleet of trucks is powered by Bharat Benz under Ghatge Trucking. Another business vertical, Ghatge Logistics handles warehousing and core operational activities for the group.
The retail vertical under Tushar Enterprises is the distribution channel of Amway, a largest privately held FMCG organization by the US.
